Hannah is an HCPC registered Physiotherapist currently working for Cardiff and Vale University Health Board as a Major Trauma Practitioner. Hannah works with adults who have sustained complex, multi trauma injuries including amputations, spinal cord injuries, and orthopaedic injuries.

Hannah qualified as a Physiotherapist at Cardiff University in 2018. She gathered valuable experience working with complex trauma and orthopaedic patients through her band 5 rotations and quickly progressed to a band 6 Major Trauma specialist Physiotherapist in 2020. Hannah built on her complex patient assessment and rehabilitation skills in an acute setting over the next 2 years before progressing to a Major Trauma Practitioner role. Hannah coordinates patient care throughout their hospital journey and beyond discharge from hospital. Additionally, Hannah works to develop and improve the Major Trauma Service (MTS) within the hospital and the South Wales Trauma Network.

Hannah started case management to compliment and further utilise skills developed within her role in the Major Trauma Service. Hannah can provide support to clients and their families through co-ordination of services including care, rehabilitation, and housing needs. She ensures each client is assessed on an individual basis, considering the wider impact of the client’s injuries on their lifestyle choices and responsibilities, and Hannah identifies appropriate individualised solutions.
