Julie qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1982 and has expertise in trauma, brain injury and neurological conditions.  Working with adults and children in the NHS and private sectors in both clinical and community settings. 

Julie has worked as a Case Manager since 2016, specialising in paediatric amputees, brain injury and cerebral palsy.  Julie is experienced in the specialist assessment and planning interventions for clients with multi-pathology and complex presentation to ensure they receive the services that they are entitled to and achieve their maximum level of independence and function.

Julie has vast experience working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that clients gain the most appropriate support and guidance which allows for a successful rehabilitation programme to be implemented.  Julie has organised, co-ordinated and managed packages of care and is able to be flexible and adaptable to meet the individual needs of the client.

Julie is an excellent communicator and can build strong supportive therapeutic relationships with clients, carers, families, and other health professionals.  Julie is sensitive to the needs of her clients and their families as they adjust to their potentially life-changing injuries.

Julie volunteers as a British Para-Swimming and International Paralympic Committee Medical Classifier. Julie is responsible for assessing athletes of all ages with a variety of neurological conditions as well as those with limb deficiency and impaired range of movement.  Julie became an International Swimming Classification Educator in 2017 and contributes to new Classifier training in the UK and abroad. 

Julie carries out thorough client centred holistic assessments ensuring a goal centred approach to support clients in their rehabilitation management.  She is committed to maintaining high standards of professional care by keeping up to date with Best Practice and Continuous Professional Development.
