Louise works with adults who have sustained brain injuries and multi trauma complex injuries including amputations and orthopaedic injuries.  She enjoys working with all age groups, but especially younger adults and adolescents who are transitioning into adulthood. She values each client’s individual lifestyle choices and considers the wider impact of her client’s injuries on their responsibilities and choices for work, leisure and family life, including childcare.

Louise qualified as an occupational therapist at the University of Derby in 1998.  She has over 20 years of clinical experience, working in hospital, community and social care settings.  In 2010 Louise began working as a case manager for people who have brain injuries.  Louise previously led her own Case Management Company for almost 10 years. Whilst running this company Louise prepared for CQC registration which has consolidated the practical knowledge Louise has with ensuring directly employed care is safe and well managed.

Her role is to co-ordinate the care, rehabilitation, vocational and housing needs of clients and provide support to their families.  Many of the clients she works with have a complex presentation of physical, psychological and cognitive needs and Louise engages therapy teams and privately employed or agency care packages, identifying the most appropriate solution.

Louise has worked as a care expert witness since 2006 preparing reports for litigation and has extensive experience of attending case conferences and participating in expert meetings. She has given evidence in Court on two occasions, including virtual Court in 2020. This experience helps Louise to support her clients navigate the litigation process.
