Louise has worked in a variety of different settings within the NHS in acute and community rehabilitation, for the last 15 years, and has enhanced skills and competencies in nursing and physiotherapy due to her role as a generic assessor for the early supported discharge team rapid response and Home first.

Louise has sound clinical and rehabilitation knowledge in a variety of clinical presentations from acute to long term and end of life care. Louise provides a holistic and person-centred approach. She assesses and plans individualised rehabilitation programmes for her clients, their family and their carer’s, ensuring that the client is at the forefront of any decision making and holds client advocation as a priority in client centred care.

Louise has extensive experience of managing a team of professional and support staff, having managed teams of qualified and unqualified staff. Providing them with support and guidance ensuring that the clients’ needs and safety requirements are met at all times.

Louise believes strongly in muti disciplinary and effective communication between professionals in order to achieve person focused care and realistic and achievable goals.

Louise works very closely with family and carers providing education and training in order to ensure clients are reaching their full potential. Louise has comprehensive experience in completing person centred holistic assessment, goal setting and treatment plans with outcome measures and goal focused activities.

As an Occupational Therapist Louise has experience of assessing and providing both small and complex pieces of equipment as well as carrying out thorough assessments for significant home adaptations.

Louise has a wealth of experience in providing capacity assessments, best interest meetings, CHC funding requests, advanced care planning and care and needs assessments.

Louise also works as an expert witness providing both face-to-face and remote assessments for loss of service and care reports. She has a good working knowledge of the litigation process, which assists her to manage client’s expectations realistically.
